Bee Balm Essential Oil

from $43.42

Our organically crafted Bee Balm Essential Oil is steam distilled from the vibrant pink-purple flowering tops of Monarda fistulosa, also known as Wild Bergamot. Native to North America, this plant is also referred to as Purple Bergamot, Lavender Bee Balm, and Horsemint. Renowned for its aromatic beauty in gardens and its therapeutic benefits in French aromatherapy, Bee Balm is a versatile and beneficial addition to any essential oil collection.

Bee Balm gets its name from the fact that bees are highly attracted to its nectar-rich flowers that bloom in the summertime, making it a favorite among beekeepers as a 'honey plant'. The essential oil's delightful citrus-floral-mint fragrance is reminiscent of the Bergamot Orange (Citrus bergamia), hence the name Wild Bergamot. Although there is no relation to the citrus fruit, Bee Balm Essential Oil shares many therapeutic similarities with Palmarosa or Geranium due to its high Geraniol content.

Reported Benefits and Uses

  • Skin Care: Monarda Oil's anti-microbial, antiseptic, astringent, antioxidant, and tonic properties make it a valuable addition to skincare products designed to soothe or treat dry or oily skin, eczema, and inflammation. Its balancing properties stabilize natural oil and sebum production, preventing acne breakouts. This rejuvenating oil can be added to soaps, face washes, face masks, toners, and creams to achieve firm, hydrated skin with a healthy glow free of unwanted marks.

  • Hair Care: Bee Balm Essential Oil's tonic properties stimulate hair follicles, lengthening and strengthening hair while slowing the graying process, preventing hair loss, and moisturizing dry scalp to relieve dandruff.

  • Aromatherapy: The sweet, fresh, lemony-citrus aroma of Monarda Fistulosa Oil promotes relaxation and induces feelings of clarity and calmness. It is reputed to have anti-depressant properties that address negative feelings such as nervousness, shock, and fatigue, while promoting positive feelings of cheerfulness and optimism, thus uplifting the mood. Its aphrodisiac quality is known to boost libido and enhance sensuality in both men and women.

Experience the multitude of benefits that our Bee Balm Essential Oil offers, from skincare and haircare to emotional and mental well-being.
